Graphic design is a creative process, most often involving a client and a designer and usually completed in conjunction with producer such as a printer for example, this is undertaken in order to convey a specific message to a targeted audience. The term "graphic design" can also refer to a number of artistic and professional disciplines that focus on visual communication and presentation. The field as a whole is also often referred to as Visual Communication or Communication Design. Various methods are used to create and combine words, symbols, and images to create a visual representation of ideas and messages. Graphic design's may use typography, visual arts and page layout techniques to produce the final result. Graphic design often refers to both the process of designing, by which the communication is created and the designs which are generated.
Apart from developing a specific visual to represent a clients concept or product, it generally has to emotionally persuade the average person to want and desire a various products, service or ideal. We take to heart what one of greatest graphic designers of our time Saul Bass once said, "design is thinking made visual"
On a professional level we strive for many high ideals in graphic design, its sometimes rather impractical, and we will execute exactly the requirements that our clients request, steering them in a better direction than they often anticipated, but at the same time realising that to be practical is sometimes the best way of communicating visually. Its the case of everyone remembers a Nandos advert because its original and creative, but the Shoprite Checkers advert converts people through to the most sales.
Some of our clients have less talented and inexperienced inhouse staff and we set up style guides and templates to help them achieve a consistent professional delivery and maintain brand cohesion in there work, even across different offices countrywide.
Many clients and potential clients ask what kinds of graphic design we can offer them , the simple answer is everything that is a picture, moving or stationary. After years of experience working across many different clients all wanting many different final design solutions, we can confidently say we can do everything or at least point you to someone we have worked with in the past who can achieve your hearts desire
